Mizzou Football: All-Time Leaders in Passing Yards
Mizzou football has had some great quarterbacks in their existence. Who leads the Tigers when it comes to passing yards? Let’s take a look.
The Missouri Tigers have been fortunate to have some great quarterbacks roll through Columbia and put up some big time numbers. We’re all familiar with some of the recent names to play for MU, but who are the all-time leaders when it comes to throwing the pigskin?
Mizzou football all-time passing yards ranking: 10. Maty Mauk (4,373)
While he might be remembered most for his off the field drama, Maty Mauk put up good numbers while quarterbacking the Missouri Tigers. He was with the program from 2013-2015 and threw for 4,373 yards during that time.
As a freshman in 2013, Mauk threw for 1,071 yards with 11 touchdowns and just two interceptions. That year saw the Tigers make it all the way to the SEC title game where they fell to Auburn.
His sophomore year was even better. Mauk threw for 2,648 yards with 25 touchdowns and 13 picks. He got the Tigers to the SEC title game again, but this time they were blown out by Alabama.
Mauk’s junior year in 2015 was where things started to go south. He wasn’t performing all that well on the field and eventually was replaced at quarterback by then-freshman Drew Lock. Mauk found his way to Eastern Kentucky for his senior year, but never did get to the NFL.
Maty Mauk finished his Missouri career with 4,373 yards passing, 42 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions. He’s tenth all-time in passing yards for Mizzou.
