ROUND 7 – PICK 2 (218TH OVERALL)

The Chiefs have yet to grab a defensive lineman in this draft, but they do so with their final pick of the 2019 NFL Mock Draft. Kevin Givens out of Penn State is the selection and he’s an impact player.

Givens tallied 33 tackles (10.5 for loss) and five sacks this past year for the Nittany Lions. Throughout his entire career at Penn State, he racked up 83 tackles (22 for loss) and 13.5 sacks. While those numbers won’t come as easy in the NFL, Givens has shown that he can make big plays on the line.

The Chiefs will likely not bring Allen Bailey back in 2019 and Chris Jones, believe it or not, is already nearing the end of his rookie deal. That means the Chiefs are going to have to find more d-linemen and someone like Givens could surprise us all as a seventh round pick.

Striking gold in the seventh round isn’t easy, but Kevin Givens could be a nice late round addition to the Kansas City Chiefs defensive line.
