The Kansas City Chiefs spent all but one selection addressing the defense in this way too early 2019 NFL Mock Draft.

The offensive position was at tight end, but it took until the sixth round for the Chiefs to make that pick. Otherwise, the team went all defense and that wouldn’t upset Chiefs Kingdom whatsoever.

On defense, the Chiefs added two safeties, two cornerbacks, an inside linebacker, and a defensive lineman. They really can’t go wrong with what position they choose to go after because just about everyone on defense needs fine tuning.

If the Kansas City Chiefs want to build on their successful 2018 season in which they made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game, they have to get better defensively. They have to do so while they still have Patrick Mahomes on a rookie deal because that kid is going to get paid in a few years and once he does, it’ll be hard to rebuild the defense.
