With the Kansas City Chiefs’ season coming to a close, it’s time to start covering the NFL Draft. What better way to kickoff draft coverage with our first 2019 NFL Mock Draft of the offseason?

The Kansas City Chiefs fell just short of reaching their first Super Bowl in nearly 50 years, but the silver lining there is that it officially means it’s draft season in Kansas City. With the Chiefs making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game, they’ll be drafting late in the first round, holding the 29th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

I always like to do a “Way too early mock draft” as soon as the Chiefs’ season comes to a close and this year will be no different. Every time I do one of these mock drafts, I use the simulator from Fanspeak.

This simulator, while not always the most realistic, is a cool tool for any draft nerd like myself. You can pick the team you want to draft for, how many rounds you want to draft, and you even get to choose which analyst’s big board you wish to use. For mine, I went with Matt Miller of Bleacher Report.

So, who did I have the Chiefs adding to their ranks in my first mock draft of the season? Let’s take a looky loo.
