Three undrafted rookies made names for themselves during the 2018 season.

Linebacker Ben Niemann, running back Darrel Williams, and defensive back Charvarius Ward all left an impression on Chiefs fans at some point in the season. These players made the grade for adding value, especially for not taking a spot in the draft.

Niemann was a preseason sensation and saw some playing time throughout the season. Williams was a cheaper rookie free agent signing out of LSU and scored a couple of touchdowns, with one being in the division round playoff win against the Indianapolis Colts. He’ll be someone the Chiefs rely on heavily next year behind Damien Williams.

Ward earned a starting spot towards the end of the season and tallied four defended passes in the playoff win. The value and production of these three undrafted rookies earn a nice group grade here.
