BAD: COVERING JULIAN EDELMAN

Did the Chiefs secondary realize they could cover Julian Edelman? He was making plays left and right and it was really annoying me. I’m sure I wasn’t alone on that either.

Edelman ended up with seven catches for 96 yards, continuing to make clutch plays for the bad guys. Whenever the Patriots needed a big play, it seemed like Edelman was the one Brady kept going to time and time again. It worked too.

While the Chiefs need to address their run defense woes this offseason, the secondary is going to need fine tuning as well. Edelman might not be the receiver he is if he were with another team, but he gashed the Chiefs secondary on Sunday and it was frustrating, to say the least.

Let’s just spend all of our draft picks on defense. That seems like a legitimate idea.
