UGLY: RUN DEFENSE

Well… We knew it’d be tricky limiting the Patriots many running backs (seriously, they have three able running backs) and with how poorly the Chiefs run defense looked throughout most of the season, no one felt good about this.

Turns out those fears were legit.

New England ended the night with 176 yards on a whopping 48 carries. Rookie Sony Michel did most of that damage, carrying the rock 29 times for 113 yards and two touchdowns. He was shredding the Chiefs all night long.

Hopefully Brett Veach does a better job addressing the run defense this offseason because we all knew this was an issue a year ago and it wasn’t shored up much. That has to be the top priority in the 2019 offseason.
