ISAIAH BUGGS – DEFENSIVE END (ALABAMA)

Isaiah Buggs is a defensive line prospect with great size (6’5″, 285 pounds) and plays with great power. While not a great pass rushing threat, Buggs uses his size and power to help set the edge and stop the run.

With his blend of athleticism and size, Buggs appears to be a solid mid-round draft prospect for a team running a 34 defensive scheme.

The Chiefs will certainly have a need at the position, as both starter Allen Bailey and backup Stefan Charles see their contracts expire at the end of the season. The ceiling may be limited for Buggs, but the opportunity exists here in KC for a player that can come in and contribute right away.

That is, if the Chiefs are willing to play a rookie, something they don’t appear to want much to do. Buggs might be worth bucking that trend for though.
