ALL-TIME LEADERS IN RECEIVING YARDS FOR NEBRASKA FOOTBALL

NUMBER 7 – JD SPIELMAN (1,648)

HUSKER WIDE RECEIVER FROM 2017-PRESENT

JD Spielman has two years left of eligibility and already makes this list at number seven. Spielman has averaged around 800 yards receiving in his first two years, so if he is able to replicate those numbers under Scott Frost’s offense, he very well could move into the top spot when it’s all said and done.

Spielman was great as a freshman, putting up 830 yards through the air. Despite having less yards as a sophomore, he was a big time red zone target, hauling in eight touchdowns in 2018.

Spielman has also always been great on special teams, but he’ll be asked to step it up even more as a receiver in 2019 and 2020, as Stanley Morgan Jr. just finished his senior campaign.

There are no doubts when it comes to JD Spielman’s potential and it’s exciting to think what kind of damage he and Adrian Martinez can do to opposing defenses in 2019 and beyond.
