ALL-TIME LEADERS IN RECEIVING YARDS FOR NEBRASKA FOOTBALL

NUMBER 12 – MAURICE PURIFY (1,444)

HUSKER WIDE RECEIVER IN 2006 AND 2007

Maurice Purify is the only Husker to land on this list who played for the program for less than four years. He came to Lincoln in 2006 after playing at San Francisco City College for two years, and instantly made his presence known.

Purify found the end zone seven times and racked up 630 yards receiving during his first year in Lincoln. In his senior season, Purify had an even better campaign, going for 57 receptions for 814 yards and nine touchdowns. That gave him 91 catches for 1,444 yards and 16 touchdowns in just two seasons.

Just imagine how much higher on this list Maurice Purify could have been had he been a Husker for four whole years! The transfer was a great addition in the 2006 and 2007 seasons and helped the offense thrive while he was a member of the Cornhuskers.
