ALL-TIME LEADERS IN RECEIVING YARDS FOR NEBRASKA FOOTBALL

NUMBER 5 – JORDAN WESTERKAMP (2,474)

HUSKER WIDE RECEIVER FROM 2013-2016

“It’s gonna be tipped and CAUGHT! IT’S CAUGHT!”

Yeah, that’s what Jordan Westerkamp‘s Nebraska legacy is always going to be. For those who aren’t familiar with the call I quoted, it came from the 2013 game against Northwestern.

The Huskers trailed Northwestern 24-21 with four seconds left in the game, but  Ron Kellogg was able to connect with Jordan Westerkamp in the end zone for the walk-off win. It truly was an incredible play and one that Nebraska fans would remember forever.

Westerkamp had himself a career outside of that play, racking up 2,474 yards during his four years in Lincoln. He also scored 18 touchdowns during that time. His best year came as a redshirt junior in 2015 when he had 65 receptions for 918 yards and seven touchdowns.

Westerkamp was an exciting receiver to watch while he was at Nebraska and was named to the All-Big Ten Conference team in 2015 and Third-Team All-Big Ten in 2016. He’ll go down as one of the greatest ever.
