UGLY: RUN DEFENSE

My goodness this was gross to watch. I wrote a post before the game about how the running game of the Seahawks really scared me and my thoughts were proven true.

Seattle rushed for over 200 yards with Chris Carson going for 116 yards rushing with two touchdowns as well. Russell Wilson also made the Chiefs run defense look pitiful, going for 57 yards and breaking off a few big runs when he needed to.

The Chiefs run defense has been awful all season long, but they looked even worse on Sunday night. Now yes, the Seahawks do have the best rushing attack in the NFL, but allowing 200+ yards on the ground is inexcusable for a playoff team.

If the Chiefs don’t get this figured out (which at this point, how could they?), they’ll be bounced early in the playoffs once again. LEARN TO STOP THE RUN.
