KANSAS CITY CHIEFS CHRISTMAS WISH LIST

NUMBER 3 – FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK PROTECTION

The Kansas City Chiefs have found their franchise quarterback and now they need him to be protected on a weekly basis. Prior to the game against the Seahawks, Patrick Mahomes had been sacked five times in the previous two games.

Mahomes has been sacked 25 times (prior to the Seahawks game) and any time a defender takes a hit on him, Chiefs fans hold their breath. Pass rush is important in the NFL and teams know that when they can get to Mahomes, it’s going to slow that offense down.

With the Chiefs offensive line being banged up, Mahomes’ protection has broken down quite a bit. No fan wants to see any of their players get injured, but a quarterback getting hurt can ruin the entire season.

Santa, if you’re reading this, please make sure Patrick Mahomes is protected by his offensive line for the duration of the season… and his career while we’re at it.
