Los Angeles Chargers (11-3 currently the 5th seed)

Much like the Steelers, the Chargers exorcised some demons of their own by snapping a nine-game losing streak to the Chiefs and handing them their first home loss this season. Philip Rivers put on an MVP type of performance, bringing his team from back from a 14-point deficit with under five minutes to play.

What was most impressive to me though was the play of rookie safety Derwin James. The young man can flat out ball and his ability to keep Travis Kelce in check for most of the night was the key to the Chargers winning that game.

Say what you want about blown calls on both sides by officiating, but the Chargers earned that win with big plays at big moments.

That said, they have another huge two game stretch against the Baltimore Ravens in LA and the Denver Broncos in Mile High. If the Chargers can win out and get some help by the Chiefs dropping one of their next two, then we could be talking about the road to the Super Bowl going through a Stub Hub Field that holds only 35,000 people.

HEY NFL, SEND THE CHARGERS BACK TO SAN DIEGO WHERE THEY BELONG!

There’s a solid chance the Chiefs and Chargers meet again in the playoffs and no matter where the game is played, the KC Chiefs have a great shot at redemption. While the Chargers display better balance, these two teams are pretty evenly matched, but I think we all prefer it to be in Arrowhead.
