New England Patriots (9-5 and currently the 3rd seed)

It’s so crazy to think that the Evil Empire is finally falling to its inevitable end. The Patriots are coming off back-to-back December losses for the first time since the 2002 season. For perspective, I was 14 years old when that last happened.

Tom Brady is starting to show his age a bit down this stretch of football. He’s looking more and more mortal, as defenses are applying pressure to him and forcing him off his spot.

As I highlighted earlier, Tommy tossed one of the worst interceptions I think any of us have ever seen him throw late in the second quarter with his team in scoring position.

Partner those issues with the news of Josh Gordon facing another suspension and Rob Gronkowski not being able to move anymore and the Patriots look like they’re in serious trouble.

It always seems like when this team is backed into a corner, and the doubters coming knocking, they find a way to get it done, which is why it’s damn near impossible to pick against them.

I, nor most of the world, would not be shocked if they wound up in the AFC Championship game yet again with a shot at the Super Bowl.
