SIT ‘EM – WR

Wide Receiver. Chargers. Mike Williams. 3. player. 13.

After a dominant performance against the Chiefs, some might be a little scared to sit Mike Williams. That’s a valid fear after he had the kind of show he did in Kansas City last week, but bare with me here.

Williams and the Chargers host the Ravens on Saturday (yes, Saturday) and that defense is one of the best in the league. They were able to slow down the Bucs, who up to that point had been one of the best offenses in the league.

With this game being big for both teams, the Ravens are going to bring everything they have on defense and that doesn’t bode well for Williams. The Chargers wide receiver typically splits out wide and the Ravens have allowed just five touchdowns to receivers who do that, according to Michael Fabiano of NFL.com.

After a three touchdown performance last week, I get why it might be risky to bench Mike Williams in the biggest week of fantasy football, but this performance doesn’t look good on paper for the Clemson product.
