The Kansas City Chiefs were 9-2 coming out of their bye week, and there was extra optimism surrounding the team. Now, however, the Chiefs need some help at running back. Could Le’Veon Bell fill that void?

Things seemed to be looking up for Chiefs Kingdom, and then the video surfaced. Let me start off by saying, I am fully behind the Kansas City Chiefs‘ decision to cut running back Kareem Hunt. What he did was unacceptable, and the organization made the right call by giving him his walking papers.

That is all I will say on the situation, and now the only thing to talk about is how the Chiefs replace a running back who led the league in rushing yards last year. Hunt was an elite back and a game changer in both the rushing game as well as catching the ball out of the backfield.

Replacing a player of that caliber on the field would be a tall task, and everyone had their own ideas on the best possible replacements for the Chiefs offense. Immediately, fans started talking about who they wanted to see in a Chiefs uniform next year.

One of the most popular and obvious answers was soon to be free agent running back Le’Veon Bell. On the surface, this would be a match made in football heaven. Bell has the ability to take over a game, and his talent would transition smoothly into almost any offense in the entire league.

If you can bring in a guy of that magnitude from a football standpoint, you do it. Digging deeper, you would be able to see that signing Le’Veon Bell would not only be hard to do logistically, but ultimately wouldn’t make much sense for the Chiefs.
