START ‘EM – D/ST

D/ST. Bills. Buffalo D/ST. 5. player. 16.

Normally I wouldn’t be advocating starting anyone on the Bills this season, but their defense could be a nice play for week 14. Buffalo squares off against the lowly New York Jets, who are somehow worse than the Bills are offensively.

Sam Darnold has been banged up the last few weeks, but he nearly played a week ago. If Darnold does play, he’ll not only be rusty, but we’ve seen how much he turns the ball over. Even if it’s Josh McCown suiting up for the Jets, he’ll throw some costly picks too.

In a week where being risky might not be the best play, I’d still urge fantasy footballers who pick up a defense weekly and slot them in, to go after the Bills for this round. Buffalo should be available on most waiver wires and I doubt many people are running to pick them up.

The Jets are a great match-up for Buffalo’s D and they should have a solid stat line for owners in week 14.
