SIT ‘EM – TE

Vance McDonald. 4. player. 55. . Tight End. Steelers

There are a number of reasons not to roll with Vance McDonald this week against the Chargers. For one, LA’s defense has been really good at limiting tight ends this season. Second, McDonald and Jesse James tend to split targets, which has hampered his fantasy production.

Thirdly and most important, McDonald is battling a hip injury and is listed as questionable this weekend. With him being a part of the Sunday night game, it doesn’t seem worth it to depend on the health of McDonald.

Tight end is a thin position in fantasy football, but if you can find anyone decent on the waiver wire, they’re more than likely a better option than McDonald. Only start him if you’re desperate, as this week’s match-up isn’t ideal and neither is his health or status for the game.
