Michael Gallup had six passes thrown his way last week and hauled in all six of them for 19 yards. While he’s shown some ability to make plays at times, the arrival of Amari Cooper to Dallas has hurt any chance of Gallup really becoming a big time playmaker.
The Saints defense has been vulnerable in the secondary, but with Cooper and Cole Beasley appearing to be more favorite targets of Dak Prescott, I wouldn’t hold my breath on Gallup being a great starting option this week.
Unless you play in a really deep league where it’s tough to find playmakers this time of year, I’d leave Michael Gallup on the bench. He’s still worth keeping around, but with bye weeks over, he could be someone safe to drop and throw onto the waiver wire.
