ROYALS ALL-TIME LEADERS IN RBI: NUMBER 1 – GEORGE BRETT (1,595)

ROYALS THIRD BASEMAN FROM 1973-1993

Is anyone surprised to see George Brett at the top of this list? If so, you clearly haven’t been doing your homework when it comes to being a Royals fan. Brett tops most all-time Royals record and he will hold the top spot for Runs Batted In for a long time, as his 1,595 RBI blows second place out of the water.

Brett was with the Royals for two decades and players just don’t seem to spend their entire career with the same team anymore. We know all about Brett’s legacy and just how important he was to this franchise.

He finished his 21-year career with a slash line of .305/.369/.487 with 1,595 RBI and 317 home runs. Brett made it to 13 All-Star games, won three Silver Slugger awards, three batting titles, was the ALCS MVP in 1985, and was named MVP once.

Brett was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame in 1999 and remains the only Royal to be in the Hall of Fame. Hopefully that changes someday, but at least George Brett represents the Royals well. He’s still first all-time in RBIs with 1,595 to his name.
