Kansas City Chiefs: Good, Bad, Ugly vs Rams in week 11 of 2018
BAD: SECONDARY
While the defense did make some plays, any time an opposing offense is able to put up 54 points and post a total of 455 yards (amazing how that doesn’t even sound like much anymore), that’s obviously on the defense. In this case, it was on the secondary, who were getting roasted throughout most of the evening.
Jared Goff was able to throw for 413 yards and four touchdowns while Brandin Cooks went for 107 yards receiving on the night. It was not a stellar outing by the Chiefs secondary, who had been looking better before this game. Obviously this was a setback.
BAD: RUN GAME
The Rams did not have a good run defense and it was heavily documented coming into the game. With that in mind, the Chiefs did not run the ball down Los Angeles’ throat like many thought they would. Kareem Hunt finished the night with just 70 yards rushing.
Hunt did have a touchdown, but it was on a reception. It just seemed like this was the night where the Chiefs should be running the ball constantly, but they did not do that. Granted, this game was an old fashioned shootout, but Hunt should have had more than 14 carries.
