GOOD: PASS RUSH

Once again, the Chiefs pass rush came to play! The unit posted five sacks on Jared Goff and were on point throughout most of the night (despite a lot of clear missed holding calls). Chris Jones has become a lethal pass rushing threat, posting two sacks on Goff. The other three sacks went to Allen Bailey, Justin Houston, and Xavier Williams (what).

GOOD: STOPPING TODD GURLEY

Coming into this game, Todd Gurley scared the crap out of me, but the Chiefs kept him in check. The talented Rams running back had just 55 yards on the ground while only putting up 39 yards in the receiving game.

The Rams obviously knew they could pass on the Chiefs, so they abandoned the run, but had Gurley been having success early, that might not have been the case. Props to KC for limiting the Rams’ top weapon in a big game, even if the final result wasn’t ideal.
