The Rams line has been a revelation this year, paving the way for Gurley to run roughshod over the league, and also by swallowing pass rushers to give Goff time to throw. Led by four-time Pro Bowler Andrew Whitworth, this Rams line may be the league’s best.

The Chiefs line hasn’t been a pushover, but they are missing two interior starters: Guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, and center Mitch Morse. That could loom large considering the Rams cut their teeth on getting interior pressure with Ndamukong Suh and Aaron Donald.

With the Rams and Chiefs being neck and neck in quarterback and running back, and the Rams having the clear edge in line play, it may all boil down to the skill players. With a healthy Cooper Kupp, the Rams may well have had the edge here as well.

If you take into account that the Rams lost Kupp for the year with a torn ACL, and Travis Kelce is more talented than any tight end the Rams can employ, the edge here goes to KC. I just think that the trio of Sammy Watkins, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce is better than Robert Woods, Brandin Cooks, and any third player the Rams may choose to highlight.

Whether it be Josh Reynolds, or either tight end in Tyler Higbee or Gerald Everett, I think the Chiefs hold the edge in skill players. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Sammy Watkins hasn’t practiced since Wednesday, and is listed as questionable.

Taking all of that into account, the disparity in line play will be the difference this week, so I have to give the Rams the edge on offense, if only by a hair.
