THREE THINGS TO WATCH VS MICHIGAN STATE

NUMBER 1 – NEBRASKA OFFENSE VS MICHIGAN STATE DEFENSE

The talk of this game is going to be how the high-flying Husker offense stacks up against the dominant Spartan defense. It’s a match-up worth talking about too, as both are magnificent.

Nebraska’s offense sits near the top of almost all of the offensive categories in the Big Ten. They’re second in total offense, third in pass offense, fourth in scoring offense, and fourth in rush offense. It’s been a fun unit to watch progress and grow throughout the season.

Facing off against that electric offense, however, is a Michigan State defense that is ranked near the top in all of the defensive categories in the conference. MSU is first in rush defense, third in scoring defense, and third in total defense.

The area Nebraska can really attack this Michigan State D is through the air, as the Spartans sit fourth to last at stopping the pass (just one spot ahead of Nebraska’s secondary). Adrian Martinez should be able to shred these Spartan defenders.
