THREE THINGS TO WATCH VS OHIO STATE

NUMBER 1 – BLACKSHIRTS HAVE TO SHOW UP BIG

If this game becomes a blowout, it’ll be because the Nebraska defense failed to rise to the occasion. After allowing just nine points last week (to a MEAC school), perhaps the Blackshirts will step their game up and make some stops in Columbus this weekend.

It won’t be easy whatsoever, as OSU quarterback Dwayne Haskins could potentially win the Heisman Trophy this year. Haskins is freakishly talented, throwing for 470 yards versus the Boilermakers and attempting a whopping 73 passes against Purdue! SEVENTY-THREE PASS ATTEMPTS. He completed 40 of those for what it’s worth.

The Buckeyes had to abandon the run against Purdue due to trailing, but they’re normally decent in that facet of the game. If Nebraska wants any chance of winning this game, the defense HAS to make stops. This can’t be a repeat of the Michigan game.

If the Blackshirts show up, Nebraska has a shot in this one.
