THREE THINGS TO WATCH VS OHIO STATE

NUMBER 2 – OFFENSE SHOULD BE ABLE TO MOVE THE BALL

We’ve seen recently just how good this Nebraska offense can be under Scott Frost. Adrian Martinez is the real deal at quarterback and his targets are coming to life. The run game is electric as well and it really looks like everything is starting to click offensively for the Cornhuskers.

The bad news, however, is that this game against Ohio State will be their toughest defense probably since Michigan in the third game of the season. The Buckeyes are typically one of the better defenses in the country, but they got DESTROYED by Purdue last week and that means Nebraska should be able to move the ball against them as well.

Ohio State surrendered 378 yards through the air and 161 on the ground two weeks ago in West Lafayette. While that game was on the road, Nebraska has every chance to put up those same kind of numbers.

Devine Ozigbo has been gashing defenses, putting up over 100 yards in four of his last five games. If Ozigbo can get the ball rolling and Martinez can make a few throws here and there, there’s no reason the Cornhuskers can’t keep up with the Buckeyes should this become a shootout.
