Aside from his electric performance in week three against Miami, Jordy Nelson has been a disappointment for the Raiders. He hasn’t amassed 50 yards receiving since that Miami game and is becoming more and more of a designated bench player for fantasy owners.
While Cooper is no more in Oakland, Nelson still didn’t step up last week against a vulnerable Colts defense. The former K-State standout had just one reception for 14 yards and he hasn’t found the end zone since week five against the Chargers.
One might think Nelson’s chances of being a starting option have improved with Amari Cooper off to the Lone Star state, but last week was an indicator that that simply isn’t the case. Jordy Nelson isn’t a viable starting option in fantasy football anymore.
