The Kansas City Chiefs moved to 7- 1 after taking down the Denver Broncos by a score of 30-23 over the weekend. What was good, what was bad, and what was mediocre in this game?

Well, like last week, the Kansas City Chiefs didn’t really do anything ugly in their win, so I went with something a little different for week eight. Instead of touching on some ugly aspects of the game, we’ll focus on the good, the bad, and the mediocre from the Chiefs’ victory over the Denver Broncos.

Even though the Chiefs won the game, it’s definitely worth noting that the Broncos played Kansas City tough in both of the match-ups this year. The Chiefs persevered for the seventh straight time against Denver though, not having lost to the Broncos since 2015.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the good, the bad, and for this week, the mediocre, against the Denver Broncos. Let’s start with something good from the win.

GOOD: SAMMY WATKINS

How can I not mention Sammy Watkins in the GOOD? Watkins had eight receptions for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Yes, there have been some weeks where Watkins hasn’t done a ton, but look at how much of an impact he made this week.

People will continue to criticize Watkins for how much he’s making, but he certainly lived up to his contract today. Watkins was doing work on the field and without him, the Chiefs might not win this game.
