THREE THINGS TO WATCH VS BETHUNE-COOKMAN

NUMBER 1 – BLACKSHIRTS HAVE TO SHOW UP BIG

Nebraska’s defense fared well last week, especially in the first half. They only surrendered eight points before half time and looked to be in full effect.

The second half was another story, as the Gophers slowly climbed back into the game. Obviously the D showed up big down the stretch and held off the Minnesota offense. Those 20 points they allowed in the second half weren’t pretty, but at least that was it.

With a non-conference team coming to Lincoln, the Blackshirts have to make their presence known early in this one. BCU hasn’t been great at much, even in their victories, but their passing game has been particularly bad.

The secondary is where Nebraska’s defense has struggled and if Bethune-Cookman can expose it, that isn’t good. Let’s show up big Blackshirts! Shut ’em down!
