THREE THINGS TO WATCH VS BETHUNE-COOKMAN

NUMBER 2 – RUNNIN’ DOWN A DREAM

If Nebraska is smart this weekend, they’ll run the ball down Bethune-Cookman’s throats. For one, that worked well for them in their defeat of Minnesota last weekend. Secondly, BCU was shredded on the ground a week ago to the tune of 178 yards.

Bethune-Cookman surrendered 118 yards rushing to North Carolina AT&T running back Jah-Maine Martin and two total touchdowns on the ground. That bodes well for a Cornhuskers offense that rushed for 383 yards last week against Minnesota.

Senior Devine Ozigbo was electric last week, carrying the rock 12 times for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Freshman Maurice Washington had 109 yards off 14 carries and a touchdown. Oh, then there was freshman quarterback Adrian Martinez who also had over 100 yards on the ground and another touchdown.

The Huskers game plan should be constantly handing the ball off and tiring that BCU defense out before the game is even truly underway. Ozigbo has been a dream all season long and this run game is the real deal.
