THREE THINGS TO WATCH VS BETHUNE-COOKMAN

NUMBER 3 – PLAY TO YOUR SEED

In college basketball, you always hear “Play to your seed”. This means the higher ranked seeds are expected to beat the lower seeds. Nebraska is going through this on Saturday, maybe one of the few times they’ll be a heavy favorite this year.

Had Nebraska not won last week, there might have been a few nervous Neddys in the stands on Saturday. Now that the Cornhuskers have the taste of victory in their mouths, they’re expected to beat up on Bethune-Cookman and “play to their seed”.

Bethune-Cookman is a .500 team in the MEAC conference and are coming off a 35-10 shellacking at the hands of North Carolina AT&T. In that game, BCU threw for 127 total yards and rushed for just 69. They shouldn’t do much better than that against the Blackshirts.

Nebraska needs to put the Wildcats away early in this one. If Bethune-Cookman is hanging around at half time, that’s not a good sign.
