Joe Flacco had a good game against the Saints last week, but he might not have similar success versus Carolina in week eight. Michael Fabiano of NFL.com notes that Flacco’s inconsistencies in fantasy make him a viable Sit ‘Em candidate this week,

"Their defense has surrendered a 76 passer rating and an average of just 14 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks at home."

Flacco isn’t a big touchdown machine either, which is another reason to stray away from him this week. Fantasy Pros mentioned that Flacco hasn’t had more than one touchdown since week one, so that’s another check in the Sit ‘Em column.

Joe Flacco is the perfect backup in fantasy, but I wouldn’t roll with him as your QB1.
