Kansas City Chiefs: Good, Bad, Not So Ugly vs Bengals in week 7 of 2018
BAD: PENALTIES
Once again, penalties go in the bad category for the Kansas City Chiefs. They had a total of eight flags thrown in their direction for 50 yards. The good news, however, is that Cincinnati also had eight penalties.
A lot of these penalties were in the first half when this was still a competitive game, but that’s almost worst. Kansas City has played in tight games this year and penalties have been an issue in those games.
There wasn’t much bad in a 45-10 blowout win, but the penalties did stand out. The Chiefs need to clean up this sloppiness because at some point, a penalty flag will lose a game for this team and when that happens, it’ll be too late to fix these mistakes.
BAD: COVERING A.J. GREEN
If the Bengals hadn’t become completely inept in the second half, A.J. Green might have been on pace to put up over 200 yards receiving. The rockstar receiver for the Bengals had 117 yards off seven receptions and looked like he’d be owning the Chiefs secondary all night long.
The good news was that he was limited in the second half, but then again… so was most of the Bengals offense.
