START ‘EM

Giants. Sterling Shepard. 3. player. 31. . Wide Receiver

Sterling Shepard is one of those hit or miss players this week, but he’s projected to put up 12.3 this week in ESPN leagues. Shepard hasn’t been utilized as much as one would hope, but most of that is due to Eli Manning‘s struggles so far this season.

Shepard should do well against a weak Eagles secondary, which has allowed a lot of chunk plays this season. If there’s reason to stick with Shepard, it’s that quarterbacks have been able to expose the Eagles secondary and Manning was taking some shots down the field last week, which bodes well for those who have Shepard on their team.

Evan Engram is out this week and that further elevates Shepard on the depth chart. Engram was one of the most targeted players throughout the first five weeks and Manning can’t throw it to OBJ on every single play. That should force him to look Shepard’s way against the Eagles.
