The Mizzou football team dropped its game against Will Muscamp and the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday. What was good, what was bad, and what was ugly?

As the Mizzou football team was fresh off of a bye week after losing to the Georgia Bulldogs, the Tigers were looking for an opportunity to bounce back against the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Tigers and the Gamecocks were both aiming to get back into the race for being the second best team in the SEC East.

This game had a little bit of everything: Defensive scores, weather delays, and a high scoring affair. Unfortunately for the Missouri Tigers, the Gamecocks came out on top at the end of the day after a horrific third quarter for Mizzou.

The Tigers claimed a solid lead to start the game. Mizzou jumped out to a 14-7 lead by the time the first quarter was finished. Then, in the second quarter, South Carolina added a touchdown onto their score while Missouri put up a trio of field goals, extending their lead out to 23-14 at the half.

It didn’t take long in the third quarter for that lead to be erased. A touchdown pass and a field goal pushed South Carolina ahead 24-23. Then, a pick six from Drew Lock moved South Carolina’s lead up to 31-23.

Mizzou attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter as they scored a touchdown, whiffed on the two-point conversion attempt, and then kicked a field goal. Just like that, Mizzou was back on top 32-31. But, from there, South Carolina would tack on two more field goals while Mizzou was only able to add one more. Thus, the South Carolina Gamecocks won 37-35.

In this game, there were some good things, some bad things, and some things that were downright ugly. Here’s the good, the bad, and the ugly from Mizzou’s loss to South Carolina.
