CHIEFS ARE STILL DANGEROUS EVEN WHEN MAHOMES ISN’T AT HIS PEAK

Despite not registering a touchdown pass for the first time this season, and throwing two interceptions, Mahomes — the NFL’s leading touchdown tosser — didn’t seem to care at all, per BJ Kissel of Chiefs.com.

"“It didn’t even [faze] him. He just kept going and firing and made some big plays. He made some big plays to (Travis) Kelce and a few other guys. Tyreek (Hill) had a big play and some great catches. (Chris) Conley too. He spread the ball around and I thought did a heck of a job. It was good to see (throwing interceptions) didn’t faze him."

It’s not like Mahomes didn’t contribute in other ways. He still threw for 313 yards on 22-of-38 passing and scored the game’s first touchdown on a four-yard scramble. He also never seemed to lose his cool and made critical completions when his team needed them most.

Mahomes isn’t going to play at a Pro Bowl level every game considering he’s in his first full season of his career. However, it must be great for fans to know he doesn’t have to light up the scoreboard through the air every game in order for the Chiefs to win.
