GOOD: Alex Barnes’ spectacular effort

Alex Barnes was the best part of Kansas State’s game against Baylor. Barnes played at a superhuman level, getting 250 rushing yards and three touchdowns on just 22 carries. Barnes was running the ball at a rate of 11.4 yards per carry. He also caught a couple of passes for 22 receiving yards.

It’s a shame that this effort was wasted with a loss.

Kansas State was able to get its starting running back going and he had an incredible game on the road in Waco. Barnes was able to give the Wildcats a pretty good chance at winning the game. As Barnes succeeded, Skylar Thompson was also able to make several big plays and had a pretty good game for himself as well.

If Kansas State can continue to get Barnes moving and having fantastic performances, then the Wildcats will have a chance at winning. Other things will need to improve along the way though.
