UGLY: PENALTIES

Last week the Chiefs had ten penalties, so one would think after such a gross outing, they’d clean up the sloppy play, right? Wrong.

This week, Kansas City racked up an astonishing 11 penalties for 105 yards. On the other side of the field, Jacksonville had just five penalties for 45 yards. Flags can be the deciding factor in a close game, so the Chiefs need to get this cleaned up and pronto.

Chris Jones and Dee Ford were both ejected from the game for losing their cool and that’s the worst thing defensive players can do. Jones was even laughing after getting ejected, which isn’t something fans want to see.

UGLY: NOT RECOVERING ONSIDE KICK

After the Jaguars put up their second touchdown, they decided to attempt the onside kick. Normally this favors the opposition to get the kick, but the Jaguars recovered it and had the chance to continue their offensive drive and remain in the game.

This isn’t the first time the Chiefs didn’t recover an opponent’s onside kick. Remember their close game against Philadelphia last year? The Eagles recovered their own onside kick and made that game come down to the wire as a result.

Luckily, this game was still pretty out of reach for the Jaguars, but this could have been disastrous had things been closer.
