FIVE THINGS TO WATCH VS SOUTH CAROLINA

NUMBER 4 – TURNOVER CENTRAL

South Carolina struggled to hold onto the football last week, turning the ball over four times. The Gamecocks fumbled three times and lost one of them while quarterback Jake Bentley threw three interceptions.

The Tigers haven’t been great at forcing turnovers so far, but this South Carolina team showed they’re prone to turning over the football. That bodes well for a Missouri team that will need all the breaks they can get this week.

Bentley has thrown six interceptions this season, so the chances of MU picking him off is high. At the same time, however, this is a Mizzou team who hasn’t won the turnover battle much this season.

Most of the time when a team can win the turnover battle, they’ll win the football game. Missouri was on the wrong side of the turnover battle in their previous game and that needs to get shored up if they want to win games in the SEC.
