SIT ‘EM – QB

31. . Quarterback. Giants. Eli Manning. 1. player

Eli Manning probably should have done better against a lousy Saints defense last week, but he’s looking like Father Time has caught up to him. With Manning on the decline and going up against a tough Carolina defense this week, it’s probably best to keep him on the bench this week.

Manning is projected to put up just 12.8 points in ESPN leagues this week against what’s been a (for the most part) smothering Panthers defense. It’s not all Manning’s fault, as he’s been sacked 15 times already this season (he was sacked just 31 times in all of 2017) and it’s hard to make plays when you’re on the ground for most of the game.

Still… If Manning is your best quarterback option this week, I’d consider scouting the waiver wire rather than risking it. He’s not at his peak anymore and the Panthers defense is pretty dang good at home. This could be a disastrous outing for Eli and the Giants.
