START ‘EM – TE

4. player. 44. . Tight End. Falcons. Austin Hooper

Austin Hooper is a tough player to peg. On the one hand, he plays for a fiery Falcons offense that is going to be forced to score on nearly every play in order to have a shot at winning this season. He’s also got a quarterback that loves spreading the football around to all of his guys.

On the other hand, Hooper has only had one week worthy of praise, and even that performance was nothing to write home about. He had 59 yards and a touchdown in that game.

Playing Hooper this week makes sense only because the Falcons are going up against a team with a defense as bad as theirs. That team is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have gotten roasted by tight ends through the first four weeks of the season.

Hooper is only someone I’d recommend starting if you’re really in a bind for a tight end this week. He’s not the most reliable fantasy option, but his chances against a bad Steelers defense are as good as they’re going to be any other week.
