Kansas City Royals: Former Royals in 2018 postseason
FORMER ROYALS IN 2018 POSTSEASON
MILWAUKEE BREWERS – LORENZO CAIN, JEREMY JEFFRESS, ERIK KRATZ, MIKE MOUSTAKAS, AND JOAKIM SORIA
Last, but certainly not least, we have the Milwaukee Royals – I mean the Milwaukee Brewers. It’s no secret that the Brewers have a lot of former Royals on their team and two of them are the most beloved Royals in team history in Lorenzo Cain and Mike Moustakas.
We all know what happened there. Cain signed a massive contract with the Brewers over the offseason and had an incredible season in year one of that deal, batting .308. Moustakas was a Royal until late July and then was traded to the Brewers. He batted .256 for the Brew Crew and hit eight home runs during his limited time there.
Other Royals in Milwaukee are Jeremy Jeffress (who was a part of the Zack Greinke trade with the Brewers in late 2010), Erik Kratz (former backup catcher), and Joakim Soria. I don’t feel like Soria needs to be discussed too much, but let’s keep in mind that he did have two All-Star seasons in a Royals uniform, so let’s be nice and remember those years, okay?
A lot of Royals fans are probably going to adopt the Brewers as their playoff team due to all of these former players (mainly Cain and Moose) being apart of their roster. I know I’ll be pulling for the team up north!
