START ‘EM

Patriots. Sony Michel. 2. player. 47. . Running Back

The Colts defensive front is better than it has been in years past, but they still surrendered over 100 yards to the Texans running backs last week. While the Patriots run game hasn’t been anything spectacular, rookie Sony Michel got it going last week.

Michel demolished the Dolphins run defense to the tune of 112 yards and a touchdown off of 25 carries. He led the team with carries and it wasn’t even close (James White had the next most with eight touches), so it’s obvious who the predominant back in New England is now.

The Patriots had been trying a tandem running back situation before this past week, but with Michel hot and the Colts defense getting gashed on the ground last week, why wouldn’t you roll with the rookie back? Put Michel in your lineup and watch the points stack up.

Moving forward, Michel should be the man in Foxboro, but he has struggled with injuries early in his pro career. That’s certainly something to keep an eye on.
