BAD: INJURIES

The Chiefs had been doing okay in the injury department, but this game finally saw them dip into the injury pool. Sammy Watkins was the first victim, who left the game in the first half and was later ruled out with a hamstring injury.

The next big injury was to Dee Ford, who has gotten hurt frequently in his career. Ford was having a good game too, notching a sack on Case Keenum and recording three total tackles. Hopefully both of these guys are okay, but losing both Watkins and Ford for an extended period of time would be detrimental to this team.

BAD: TACKLING

When one thinks of playing defense in the sport of football, tackling is a big part of that. The Chiefs were not able to tackle at all and this is a problem dating back to last season.

On Royce Freeman‘s run in the second quarter, he broke at least six tackles and somehow found the end zone. The Chiefs continuously let the Broncos slip out of tackles or just wouldn’t finish up with the tackle in the first place.

This defense has all sorts of problems, but tackling is certainly one of the worst. Gotta get it fixed or we’ll continue to see garbage defense like this.
