Kansas City Chiefs: Good, Bad, Ugly vs Broncos in week 4 of 2018
GOOD: KAREEM HUNT
Well, it took a few weeks, but Kareem Hunt finally got going! He put up 121 yards on the ground and found the end zone with his legs (all while Broncos fans flipped him off) and also had 54 receiving yards as well.
Some of the big runs Hunt put together saw him absolutely TRUCK defenders. It was a solid effort from the league’s leading rusher a season ago and I think everyone was stoked to finally see the Toledo sensation get something going on the ground.
It was obvious that the Chiefs put an emphasis on running the ball more this week and we were all waiting for Hunt to have a breakout game. He helped carry the Chiefs this week with some big runs and it was nice that in a game where the receivers were struggling, Hunt could step up and make some plays for the offense.
I was a bit worried in the first three weeks that maybe Hunt wasn’t going to have as good of a sophomore campaign, but he looked like his rookie form. Imagine when he gets it going consistently and the receivers are as hot as they were the first three weeks. This offense will be even more insane.
