Kansas State Football: Five interesting storylines for Wildcats vs Texas
By Ethan Lee
This could be a trap game for the Longhorns if they’re looking ahead to Oklahoma
I’m not predicting that the Kansas State Wildcats are going to win this game. That’s not a territory that I would like to venture into. However, I do think it is totally possible that the Texas Longhorns could be overlooking this game a bit.

Right now, the Longhorns are on a three game winning streak. They barely beat Tulsa, came out and thumped Southern California, and then followed that up with a two touchdown victory over TCU. Both TCU and USC were ranked when Texas beat them.
Next week is the Red River Showdown. Oklahoma, right now, has to be commanding most of Texas’ attention. The Sooners are 4-0 and the clear favorites to win the Big-12. They’re also ranked in the top 10. The two previous meetings between the Longhorns and the Sooners were decided by a combined 10 points.
Kansas State could very well be flying under the radar for Texas, right?
It’s likely going to be incredibly difficult for the Kansas State football team to win this game. However, the Wildcats definitely have a chance to do so if they can get the running game going and catch a few lucky breaks. It’d help if Texas wasn’t paying much attention to this game.
