Final Questions

Will the Broncos offense be able to put up enough points of their own?

SB: The offense has been so inconsistent but we saw in week one they are capable of great things. They put up 27 points and 470 yards of offense against Seattle, which by most accounts this season has had a better defense than Kansas City. Those are different situations entirely since the Chiefs have been playing with leads every game, but Kansas City’s defense is allowing 30 points per game. Regardless of how conservative you play defensively, they have let teams back within striking distance every single week and found a way to pull away after getting such a big lead. I don’t think the Broncos are going to have too much trouble moving the ball against Kansas City’s defense but scoring is something they’ve gotten in their own way too much on.

How do you see this game ending?

SB: I’m an optimist. I think the Broncos, this early in the season and this healthy overall, have a chance to provide Kansas City with their first loss of the year, but if the Broncos play as they did against the Ravens and the Chiefs play as they have been, it won’t be close. I don’t even necessarily think the Broncos have to be ‘perfect’ to win this one, they just need to stop making dumb mistakes. I’m holding out hope the Broncos win this huge home game.

It will be a fun game to watch as Kansas City and Denver face off in a big time game not only under the big lights of Monday Night Football, but a game that has huge implications for both teams early on in the season.
