Fantasy football is headed into week four and there are some great match-ups on tap for this weekend. Who should you start and who should you sit in week four?

Week four is around the time when fantasy football owners can start to get a better sense of what their players can produce in terms of production and points on a weekly basis. For instance, in one of my leagues, Rex Burkhead had done next to nothing for me, so I dropped him and picked up Phillip Lindsay of the Broncos instead. Burkhead went on the injured reserve not long after, which explained his lack of production.

While Burkhead underperformed early on, there are still tons of great players out there. The point of my Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em posts are to suggest players for you to Start or Sit that aren’t the obvious players. Obviously owners are going to start Aaron Rodgers and Antonio Brown on a week to week basis, but what about the non-elite players? That’s where these posts come in.

As I’ve done the past few weeks, let’s take a look at my best advice and my worst advice from a week ago.

  • GOOD ADVICE – STARTING BEARS DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS, SITTING CASE KEENUM

The Bears defense is one of the best units in the league right now and they got to face the less than stellar Cardinals offense last week. That resulted in Chicago’s D totaling 15 points in ESPN leagues.

As for my good advice in the Sit ‘Em section, I hope owners listened to me and kept Case Keenum on the bench. He had just five fantasy points last weekend.

BAD ADVICE – STARTING DESEAN JACKSON, SITTING MICHAEL CRABTREE

Everyone gives bad advice from time to time. I recommended that fantasy owners start DeSean Jackson, who did not do much in week three. It seemed with all of the Ryan Fitzpatrick love going around in Tampa that Jackson would be a good play, but I’m willing to admit I was wrong there, as Jackson had just 6.7 points last week.

I also recommended sitting Michael Crabtree, which was dumb. The Ravens wideout notched double digit fantasy points for the third straight week.

Let’s see how I do with my suggestions this week!
