BAD: SECOND HALF OFFENSE

After an electric first half for the Kansas City Chiefs offense, they went cold in the second half. They were able to score five touchdowns in the first half and looked as if they were going to run away with this one, but the second half saw the 49ers make adjustments and slow down what had been the hottest offense in the NFL.

Kansas City had just three points in the second half of the game (thanks Harrison Butker) and it looked as though the Niners were going to be able to crawl back into this one and make it a nail biter at the end.

Fortunately, Kareem Hunt was able to notch a few key runs on the final drive to run out the clock. The problem with the Chiefs last year was that they’d look unstoppable in the first half and then barely move the football in the second half. Sunday’s game reminded me of that 2017 team and I’d rather that not be the case moving forward.
